Emmas love of yoga began when she was 20 years old after a road accident left her with serious injuries to her leg and neck. As she recovered she began to explore further into the spiritual aspect and her many journeys to India began. Emma’s first yoga training was at a Sivananda Yoga Ashram in 2006 in Rishikesh India. Then in the years that followed Emma continued her training in hatha yoga in Kerala and Rishikesh, India and completed further education training in Australia. In 2019 she began her mental health and trauma sensitive yoga training. On completion of these courses she now teaches at women’s centres around the Sunshine Coast along with private classes for schools and small groups. Emma’s open classes are a mix of sivananda and hatha focussing on slow relaxing flows whilst encompassing elements learnt from her trauma sensitive yoga training.
