Cherie Clark enjoyed a long and successful career in the childcare industry, including six years working in London. She went on to become an Area Manager, responsible for creating and establishing childcare centres across Australia.
Throughout her life, Cherie has held a deep passion for yoga, which eventually inspired her to leave her career and qualify as a yoga instructor.
Cherie has been teaching Hatha Yoga for six years, sharing her practice from her home studio, gyms and retirement villages, as well as through community sessions supported by Moreton Bay Regional Council. Her popular Sunday afternoon classes have attracted more than 50 participants.
Cherie believes yoga is not about perfecting a pose, but about experiencing the benefits of mind, body and breath. Her teaching focuses on calming the mind, finding a sense of wholeness and freedom, and learning to respect and listen to your body.
She encourages every student to work within their own capabilities, reminding us that there should be no pain in yoga. For Cherie, yoga is about enjoyment, feeling complete and giving yourself the space to leave everyday stresses behind.
