Just a little bit about me, I have been teaching group fitness classes since 2009 (Les Mills Body Balance) and began teaching yoga in 2015. I create and deliver safe, effective, and inclusive Yoga programs for my class participants and have taught in various settings such as fitness clubs, corporate offices, commercial locations (Lulu Lemon), community facilities and yoga studios.
In terms of formal Yoga qualifications, I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher training in 2015 and 150-hours Level 2 in 2019. Since then, I have also undertaken several other qualifications, such as Yin Teacher Training, Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Yoga Thai Massage.
I regularly attend Yoga festivals, workshops, and retreats to continue my own personal development and experience in the field. This also includes attending classes in Baby Yoga, Roller Ball Yoga, Baby Goat Yoga, Beer Yoga, Glow Yoga, Hip-Hop Yoga and Aqua Yoga. As I feel It is important to continue to be a student as well as a teacher
I love to combine creative sequencing, motivational cues, and an attitude of gratitude, to help my students of all levels deepen their practice. By aligning the physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation to the purpose of the practice, I encourage my participants to let go and experience the moment. I aspire to help others thrive by nurturing the body, mind, and soul with yoga. My hope is that my participants step off their mat feeling a deeper calm and positivity. I have demonstrated this when teaching free community classes for the Medibank live better program encouraging people to live healthier.
