Victoria Sutton and Rachel Sykes run Dragonfly Yoga Studio in north Brisbane and specialise in Restorative Yoga. Their studio also offers weekly hatha classes, yoga retreats and work closely with special populations, disability and mental health. Victoria and Rachel bring together their skills in yoga, yoga therapy, personal training, meditation, pranayama and massage.
They have witnessed that restorative yoga can create confidence and furthermore, act as a gateway to the more traditional yoga practices, the philosophy and especially, meditation. Victoria says, “Restorative yoga has a valuable place in our community, it is a beautiful practice which is both accessible and inclusive. The diversity of our clients and students is amazing. We deliver an exquisite restorative practice, our propping is meticulous and fully assisted, we use our own props for continuity of client experience and our attention on you throughout the practice is unwavering. We pride ourselves in continual training and many studio hours perfecting and modifying our practice for that extra comfort, for a deeper stillness”.
