Audra Saunders

Audra Saunders is a highly experienced Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist with more than three decades of experience in the field of yoga and therapeutic practice.

She holds a Diploma of Yoga Teaching, Graduate Certificate in Yoga Therapy, and is a Yoga Australia Senior Teacher and Registered Therapist. Audra is also a Yoga Therapy Post Graduate Trainer and holds qualifications in Naturopathic Nutrition, Massage, and Complex Decongestive Therapy, specialising in lymphoedema and lipoedema management.

Introduced to yoga at the age of 14, Audra committed to a regular practice in her early 20s and began her teaching career at 28. Over the years, she has worked with diverse populations in both group and private settings, including returned service personnel and first responders, people living with disability and chronic conditions, seniors, pre- and post-natal mothers, children, teenagers, corporate groups and the wider community.

Audra has developed and facilitates professional development training for Yoga Teachers and Yoga Therapists in Bliss Yoga, a therapeutic and inclusive approach to yoga designed to support people of all abilities and backgrounds.

She has presented at the Australasian Yoga Therapy Conference 2018, including a case study on acquired brain injury, and has contributed to numerous educational workshops, extension programs and study groups for yoga teachers.

Now in her mid-50s, Audra’s personal practice has evolved significantly over the years, with her focus firmly centred on the therapeutic benefits of yoga. After more than 35 years immersed in yoga and Yoga Therapy, she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and compassion to her teaching — and continues to love sharing her passion for the transformative power of yoga with others.
