Kerrie has been practising yoga since her early 20s, and at 61, yoga continues to be an integral part of her life. While there were many years when life, work and raising children meant her yoga mat gathered a little dust, returning to the practice reminded her just how deeply yoga had become part of her being.
When Kerrie returned to regular classes, she discovered that her muscle memory was still very much present. She gently began exploring her edge again, learning to listen to her body and honour what it needed in each practice.
Today, Kerrie has a daily yoga practice and holds a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification, which she completed during an immersive four-week experience living and studying at Krishna Farm in Northern NSW. She also taught at the Yoga Village at Krishna Farm during her time there.
Kerrie continues to experience growth, strength and depth through her practice, embracing the understanding that every day on the mat feels different.
She offers yoga classes from her home, with a particular connection to women navigating perimenopause, menopause and life beyond menopause. Her classes also welcome older women and beginners, creating a supportive space where students can explore movement, strength, self-awareness and connection at their own pace.
