Anny is an Interior Designer by profession and a 500-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher with a lifelong passion for yoga, meditation and wellbeing.
Her yoga journey began in her homeland, Malaysia, at the age of 19. Two decades later, yoga continues to be an integral part of her life and personal practice. Since 2015, she has been sharing yoga as a teacher and volunteer with Art of Living, a not-for-profit organisation.
Inspired by the wisdom of the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, particularly “Sthira Sukham Asanam” — a posture that is steady and comfortable — Anny sees yoga as more than a physical practice. As taught in the Art of Living philosophy, asana can be a pathway to balance the body, calm the mind and prepare us for deeper practices.
She believes that movement is the beginning of the journey towards stillness. Through asana, pranayama and savasana, we gradually move from the physical body, through the breath, and towards a quieter state of mind. In that stillness, we create the space to turn inward, reconnect with ourselves and discover or ignite our own inner journey.
From Movement to Stillness is an invitation to slow down, breathe, become present and journey within — from movement, to breath, to stillness, and ultimately, back to the true self.
